Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is best known for films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was born as the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading character in various television dramas. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film), was critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra is known for her work in numerous notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These projects included British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being an official jury member for two festivals: the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
